The encyclopedia doesn’t always update in real-time, which means companion locations may change from what a page says. As explained in our Companions Guide, you can find them by using either the encyclopedia with “N” by default or visiting taverns randomly. Whatever path you choose, this guide will help you to understand the intricacies of the Bannerlord economy, combat, factions, skills and perks, tactics, troop types, character builds, smithing system, quests, and much more to ensure that you are never left wondering what to do next, or how you might go about doing it.Before you have the best companions for whatever role you need, you have to find them first. Control trade routes to manipulate production and distribution of resources, join factions to gain renown and influence world politics, or create your own clan to build a world of your own. The chaos creates a dangerous world, with opportunities to capitalise on the uncertainty of the future. The empire of Calradia is plagued by inner conflict, tearing the structure of the old order as new lines are drawn on the map. This will make use of his skills, which you will find are among the best of your companions. Once you’ve recruited your brother you should consider providing him with decent gear and assigning him to a role as soon as possible. You can keep track of their progress to adulthood from the Clan tab (press “L” button on your keyboard to access it by default). At this stage you’ll only be able to recruit your brother into your clan, as your younger siblings are too young to be recruited. They should be found at the tavern in the settlement where you first met Radagos when he offered to help you find your family. However, you’re not done yet! You still need to meet your siblings at the nearest town and recruit them into your clan.

When you’ve dealt with Radagos, the quest will complete. If you spare him there are no known consequences, but you may see him roaming the landscape and building a clan of his own, in time. If you kill him, that will be the end of his story and you will never see him again.

All that remains now is for you to decide what to do with Radagos. You’ll then have a brief conversation with one of your family members, as they tell you that they’ll wait for you at the nearest settlement. Once you’ve defeated Galter and got your family back, Radagos will execute Galter. See our Combat guide for some useful tips. Thankfully, Galter doesn’t have much armor, so one powerful strike to the head should be enough to kill him. You should note that Galter has a high attack speed, which could prove lethal and overwhelm you if you’re not prepared. If you’re not confident in your ability to defeat Galter alone, there’s no shame in using your troops to take him out. You can accept this and beat him alone for a boost to your renown and morale, or you can attack Galter with all your troops to get the job done quickly and ensure success. When all the bandits are dead, Galter will reveal himself and challenge you to a duel. You’ll have to wait until nightfall to attack the hideout, at which point you can begin to eliminate the small number of enemy bandits at each camp within the hideout. This should be an easy task, since there aren’t many troops at the hideout.

You can choose 10 troops of your own (including companions) to attack Galter’s small force. It’s worth making a hard save immediately after speaking with him, just in case the fight ahead doesn’t go as planned.Īfter speaking with Radagos you’ll need to travel to the nearby hideout to confront Galter and his warriors. In any case, it won’t be far from the settlement where you first meet Radagos. The hideout will be added to your tracker automatically, so it will be easy to find. The dialogue is fairly linear and will inevitably result in you agreeing to meet Radagos at a nearby hideout, where Galter is located. When you speak with Radagos he’ll tell you that he knows where your siblings are and that he’s willing to show you under one condition: that you allow him to execute Galter, the slaver who kidnapped your family. When you visit a settlement after completing Rebuild Your Clan, meeting Radagos will be the first thing which occurs before you can do anything else at the settlement, making the quest impossible to miss.
